I know one is free and the other is not. How do they vary??? What are the VPlanner's weaknesses. At this point I am only interested in air and Nitrox. Any and most all comments would be appreciated. > >>Regards, > >Tom This is a totally different approach to decompression theory. The people who published this software would be the first to tell you that you should stick with a tried and true decompression software package. VPM is still very experimental and anyone using it should know that. If you're interested in air and Nitrox, I would assume that you're talking about diving in the range of 130 feet or less. That being said, pick a standard software package. If you want to go freeware, get GAP. If you have a palm or other PDA, get decoweenie. If you want the most highly regarded, go with decoplanner.
