Thanks to all who replied to my question. I talked with a person I know who just bought them & tried them out, and he likes them a lot. Of course, the primary disadvantages that I have heard include: - Difficult to don - Equalization problems - Risk of tears and rips. I have also received this e-mail from one person who bought a pair: >I've used the dry 5 glove with wonderful results. By inserting a thin strip >of felt under the rist seal and into the glove the gloves become anintegrated >pressurized part of the dry suit. I haven't blown them off, ahad a seal >leak, or torn them. My understanding is DUI makes a kevlar over glove for >them but I can't imagine it necessary. My hands never got cold in an hours >worth of exposure in 39 degree water. A great inexpensive solution to >keeping the paddys warm. In light of all the responses, I think I am willing to give them a chance. I think I will try the "felt strip" equalization method, and try wearing an overglove... I'm not sure whether I should shell out additional $$$ for the DUI kevlar, or try something cheaper such as leather, or even a gardener's glove. With all the nice people to help me on the boat, I won't have to try donning them all by myself. Thanks again, Christina
