Having had more problems with scooters than most( I take them to deep) I have had a lot of experience with scooter failure and runaway scooters. Unless the scooter implodes or you have some malfunction that renders the scooter inoperable you will be able to get back to the anchor, even a dying battery will have enough juice to get you back to the anchor with a little kicking on a wreckdive or if the trigger is stuck on . If you are diving with a buddy who has a scooter he is your back up, MHK was able to tow me back at 300ft depth to a drifting anchor with me in tow with my broken scooter, you should always have all your gas with you and can shoot a bag on any part of a wreck to ascend if you need to, if you are doing a drift dive this is all a moot point. If you want to know about what to do in a cave talk to someone else, that's not my game..... >Safe bubbles >Esat Atikkan > >--- Chris Elmore <elmorec@at*.ne*> wrote: > > From: <Dogtrner1@ao*.co*> > > > > > And further if: Split fins are for lazy people, > > what category do those > > that > > > dive with scooters fall into??????Inquiring minds > > and all that. > > > > > > Karla > > > > Karla, > > Try a little experiment: figure your swimming > > (constant comfortable pace) > > gas consumption, Now do the same thing with a > > scooter.
