not that i'm unappreciative of all the answers i'm getting, about the various IANTD nitrox courses, but i'm more confused than when i started..... let's see: we have 1 vote for: basic - 29% to 40% advanced - up to 50% we have 1 vote for: basic - 32% and 36% advanced - 29% to 40% we have 1 vote for: basic - 32% and 36% advanced - 29% to 40% technical - any mix we have 2 votes for: basic - 29% to 36% advanced - 22% to 40% with up to 50% for deco technical - all mixes we have 1 vote for: basic - 32% and 36% advanced - 21% to 40% with up to 50% for deco we have 1 vote for: basic - 32% and 36% technical - any mix we have 2 votes for "are there really 3 levels? i thought there were only two." the pattern seems to be, people who took the class think basic only qualifies you for 32% and 36%. people who say they are reading the standards all say basic is 29-36 except someone who says the standard says 29-36 but it should be 40 (not sure what that means). i called IANTD directly and spoke with patty mount. she said: basic - 29% to 36% advanced - 22% to 40% with up to 50% for deco technical - all mixes with 80% being the highest recommended mix i think i'm going back to my air.... -maria
