Your thinking about the fatality at Royal Springs. They were 'from what I
recall' supposed to go look for an artifact. Somehow they mannaged to
'borrow' a light, and then proceded to go into the cave at Royal, which is
VERY NASTY. Royal is often used as an open water site because most cave
divers don't even dive there. If you have any specifics, you might want to
check with Bill Renneker, as he did the recovery, as where they managed to
wedge themselves was sidemount only. Royal has little to no flow, and tons
of silt.
