It is one of my favorites. One of our things on the boat is that NOONE is ever criticized because they choose to call a dive. While yesterday was a good day to dive on the Lowrance, I opted to set out of today's and the rest of the weeks tech dives. We had a current of 1.5/1.7 yesterday on the wreck. Took me 9 minutes to get down, and I had a bottom time of about 10 minutes. My max depth was 165. I was glad to have my deco tables laminated and in my pocket, so that, altho I had planned on a 190ft. dive, I didn't have to do the deco for it. I was glad for that. Water temp was about 72 degrees on the bottom. Viz was about 60 ft or so----you could see the width of the wreck. Saw a bull shark while on the way up from the wreck, doing a deep stop at about 100ft. I remember the dive this time too!:) That, in and of itself, is worth it! We have a group in from Chicago this week. Miller Lite today, Clinton tomorrow, Hydro on Wednesday (weather permitting) and Lowrance on Thursday---again, weather permitting. They are also doing shallow drift dives in the afternoon, so I will still get my dive time in. YEAH~! Later, Karla -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
