I have an opportunity to buy a Vascular Technology Inc. (VTI) oxygen analyzer
with a VT 122 (disposable polarographic) sensor head for what seems like a good
price ($330).  It seems pretty similar to the Miniox III unit, and in fact may
be a repackaged Miniox, but has a longer warrantee on the sensor than the
Miniox.  Does anyone have any experience, positive or negative, with these
units?  Is there any reason why a polarographic (silver anode & cathode), as
opposed to galvanic (lead anode, gold cathode), sensor cannot or should not
be used for dive gas analysis?
