I talked to them yesterday. The guy I talked to (forget his name) said that
the journal was being made for tech divers or "experienced" divers. I got
the impression that he was trying to be cautious about recommending it to me
not knowing my level of knowledge/interest. He kept stressing that it wasn't
for the typical diver.

The lead story in the first issue is about survey techniques for both wreck
and cave. He also mentioned an article on a cenote dive in Mexico (didn't
say which one) and stuff like scooter info, etc. My main reason for asking
was that I wasn't interested in something only dedicated to deep diving as
the name might imply. But it seems like the "deep" means deep knowledge.

The first issue should be out the first week of April.
