Using your drysuit as your B.C. doesn't work well. I'm aware that this =
is what PADI teaches. I guess whoever wrote that into their training =
didn't do much diving. The only time I put gas into my drysuit (and it's =
usually argon) is when I first get into it to flush the air out, and =
when I descend. I only put enough gas in to keep the pinch off, no more. =
You don't want a large "bubble" of excess gas that runs to the feet, or =
the neck, when you change attitude slightly in the water. This makes you =
unstable. Use your wing.


Perhaps PADI teaches the other way because with a jacket style B.C., you =
have no attitude adjustment (yaw or roll) when wearing one of those =
silly things...=20
