Tom, The following link is to a document listing the risks of diving the Inspiration rebreather on the AP Valves own website: http://www.ambientpressurediving.com/InspManual/RiskAnalysis1.doc It specifically lists the danger of hypoxia during ascent as HIGH (their words, not mine). The actions of Garrett on ascent were textbook signs of hypoxia, it is a known risk of diving that RB, and he was carrying an OC bailout bottle of gas that would have saved his life. Please tell us again why it was proper to let him float to the surface, since I still can't understand it and I don't think I am alone on this.
