Please just keep in mind all of this is just discussing about what Buhlmann/GF algorithms will require. If you are using VPM/RGBM, I have no idea what the profile will look like until later on this year when I will add Eric Baker's VPM algorithm to DecoWeenie. >> I thought both were set for 30'/min... Sorry, I was nitpicking, but the ascent rate with Zplan was just a tad slower. >> I would expect the normal dive plan to include deep stops. Agree, but I would rather use GF (plus max-O2 window option if on OC) instead of Pyle stops. The RT is only a few minutes longer, but if for whatever reasons you have to shorten/bail the shallow stops (as what actually happened), the chance of survival is greater IMHO. >> I keep coming up with numbers somewhat longer than yours, could you post your results? I don't use Zplan, but DecoWeenie. The results also were confirmed with GAP. Here is just an example... CCR mode, 8/60 diluent, 1.2 set-point, GF 20-100, 30fpm ascent rate... 0 - 300 15 RT 300 20 150 1 26 140 1 27 130 1 29 120 1 30 110 1 31 100 1 33 90 1 34 80 1 35 70 1 37 60 1 38 50 1 39 40 2 42 30 3 45 20 18 63 Depending on what you believe, a change of diluent to air and flush out the loop to remove all Helium at 70ft will give a shorter RT to 59 as according to Buhlmann algorithm, as well as running 1.6 (100% O2) at 20ft to give RT to 57. Straight Buhlmann with all options above yields 52min RT to surface. Then, of course, you always the option to run GF high at 100+ as well to shave it more... :-) -Phi http://oxycheq.com/DecoWeenie.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PalmPlanner (Program/Manual in the "Files" section) -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
