All: Remember when you decide to dive cave, its not about getting a card, its about staying alive and returning from every dive. You would be better off taking the GUE class several times and receiving their training than to short change yourself with another agency. If your skills are not up to the level required by the end of the course, you go and practice them, and then, come back and do a few fun dives with the instructors and complete the training. Its not about time, its learning the skills correctly from the best. If you are just looking for a card, and don't have the skills to begin the GUE training, then you know what the answer...improve your skills and stay the hell out of caves:-)) -----Original Message----- From: Brad, Jen, and Sam [mailto:bjs539@ho*.co*] Sent: Saturday, June 16, 2001 9:13 PM To: Techdiver List Subject: Advice on NACD? Hello all- I am wanting to learn the right way to do cave dives. This is obviously going to be GUE, but I don't think I am ready for GUE yet, as I have no other cave/cavern training. I have been thinking about doing the NACD courses to help prepare me for the GUE courses, but wanted to get the general concensus as to how well put together the NACD course really is. Thanks in advance for any advice I can get!! Brad -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'.
