But, for the humor value, what is it that your "friend" thinks will change in his gas mix during the dive? The FO2 ain't gonna change, at all, no matter what you do. Analyze the gas, properly mark bottles, and unless, due to pure freaking magic, the laws of physics and chemistry do not apply inside your specific brand of tank, it's never gonna change until you put something else in the tank. Period. All the dead CCR guys should tell you that O2 sensors don't work for shit underwater anyway. Of course, your "friend" just may be able to sell an idea like this to someone like Bill Stone. I hear he's got something going in Mexico. Or maybe Mares could include it with their pneumatic cam band tightener. Or better yet, Hazel Barton could use it on her next "Journey into Amazing Caves" installment. It would probably also be a huge hit in the NE.
