The sheer complexity of this model really makes me wonder exactly what
steps will be taken to validate it -- recall that validation trials are
typically exponential in the number of variables for sufficient confidence.

I actually heard that ScubaPro dropped their DC based on the Weinke model
exactly because of the difficulty of validation.  What steps will the Abyss
people be taking to prove the model?
