Interestingly I had the similar idea, except I searched google and the PubMed database which lists most of the papers of medical interest published since 1966, as far as I can see not 1 D Norton who is a physiologist of any sort, a couple of molecular biology types, a nurse, etc etc. I may have missed him, but if he was 'World renowned' I'd expect him to be fairly easy to spot. I also looked under Norton and only found 1 paper by a norton close to relevant, I agree there is a strong smell of bull in the air. Dave, Care to give us a URL to some citations-I am a scientist I look at original papers, do you have any?
