Never read the Shipwrecks of Virginia book. After I sent my email to you I
grabbed my handy-dandy copy of the Lusitania Controversies and looked up the
dive in book II. You are correct, it documents the use of Heliox 16% as a
travel gas to 320 and then a switch to a bottom mix of 12%. Then switching
back to 16% at 320 on the way up and then 36% Nitrox then O2.

Thanks,
Art.

Hi Art
You are correct that it was Gary, also Ken Clayton and Pete Mangee. The
story of what happen first surfaced to me from Pete and then was confirmed
by Gary when I asked him. The story of Ostfrisland dive is in Shipwrecks of
Virginia and the details of the mix are in his advance wreckdivng book I
think.
