Thanks everyone for the advise.  I like the idea of locking rings - such as the
diving concepts that Andrew pointed out.  However, I also like the idea of
using cheap outer gloves.  Anyone using the Diving Concepts system know if you
can use it without the locking gloves, or make your own using the rings they
provide (the pictures on the diving concepts web site aren't too clear as to
whether you can take the glove ring out of those gloves or not...)?
