MJB It's neither stupidity nor ignorancy. Merely a question of physiology. Discomfort after a dive suggest you've had an insufficient decompression, hence the need to increase the conservatism of your profile. Unless you have PFO or recompress, the bubble formation causing discomfort will remain venous and not kill or harm you. It's not stated that you should bend yourself thoroughly in order to discover your limitations, if you believe so, I believe you missed the irony in Jim Cobbs post. Rather than hammering your idiocy at everyone promoting dir every time you need to abreact, you might go do some really deep air dives. That's something you advocate, right? /Thor -----Original Message----- From: Michael J. I can excuse ignorance (not knowing), but not stupidity (proud to be ignorant). Hope your insurance is paid up. MJB -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
