--0-1382226781-990822970=:74642 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii I have a couple of VX-10 2nd stages, with a VX-10 first and a Scubapro Mk20 1st that I've acquired over the past few years, and which have become my main regs. I purchased my 2nd VX-10 2nd following readings of earlier DIR articles (ca. 1995-1997) describing their easy breathing and lack of freeflow (which was my main problem with my earlier Scubapro 2nd - the not-so-good D-400 [insert relevant emoticon here]). My questions concerning the present status of the VX-10 within the DIR world of 2001 are numerous, especially with regards to their second stages. Have they been greatly surpassed by the Apeks seconds, to the point where they are now considered useless and should be "serviced by a garbagecan"? Or can they still play a useful role for the newbie DIR diver who plans on playing the game for a long time to come? Also, is there any way to figure out exactly what model year VX-10 you have (maybe through the serial number)? I picked up my first one from a dive shop that went out of business, and it had been on the shelves for awhile. I also wouldn't mind finding out the history of the evolution from the use of the VX-10 to the modern use of the Apeks. Any and all info is greatly appreciated. -Seth --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
