To all you physiology gurus out there, Ralph Landry and I have been having a discussion on Bruce Wienke's Reduced Gradient Bubble model. Is anyone currently testing it out in the lab, or has it only been modeled and tested on the supercomputer at Los Alamos? I am especially interested in nu ^ exc (Greek letter nu) bubble factor, which he uses to compensate for "deeper than the previous" dives, and if it is possible to test this model with real tissues. Any thoughts? What are possible ways to test something like this? Would you use doppler, or would that not be precise enough? Does Bruce monitor techdiver? Christina
