Me neither.  There are some ways to put a detectable bulge in a line while
not presenting much of a snag hazard and I'll try as many as I can.  Having
never shot a bag using a line with knots in it, I see a trip to Rawlings in
my near future to try this out.  I won't be hitting the ocean for a couple
of weeks due to the job.

If I can't make the backup reel go without snags, it will be without knots.

Figure-eights normally behave themselves under most conditions.  However, it
is entirely possible that I'll end up with Dacron markers in the line.  I'll
let you know how it works out.
