Brian Re Crotch strap.... Jim Cobb has some pictures on his web page - I am now a proud owner of a = one week old digital camera, so I should probably retake some of my = cruddy shots again. I am still using the Shimellian crotch strap with = no signs of any significant wear after many years including scootering = on my Gavin. Significantly, no signs of it ever coming undone! The = arrangement is neat and tidy and minimalist. I use a slightly thinner webbing for my crotch strap and this goes = double through a weight retainer with no significant problems. The thin = SS weight retainers works OK but they bend when being towed behind a = scooter. No actual problem but I prefer a degree of over-engineering in = my kit. I use the thicker variety with the "this side towards body" and = crinkled centre which can be widened with a Dremmel and this is what I = have done. I'll resend photos to Jim or anyone that's interested (email me). Did you use any tricks, or was it especially hard to=20 > get it through? The webbing on my plate is quite stiff. I had to wet it, and hold it = folded with pliers to get it threaded, in addition to cursing it thouroughly. = But it did go through, and it isn't likely to work itself loose.
