I have heard of this referred to as "Shimellian" rigging, after Dave
Shimmel, who proposed it a couple years ago. Folded and then run
through a weight retainer, it is as secure as a bolt.

The webbing on my plate is quite stiff. I had to wet it, and hold it folded
with pliers to get it threaded, in addition to cursing it thouroughly. But
it did go through, and it isn't likely to work itself loose.
