Yes, this is on the Palouse, just because the Palouse is a trib on the Snake
does not make it clear
water. The Palouse drains an extensive farming area and there is an extreme
amount of sediment in
the system at this time of year.  The confluence of the Snake and Palouse is so
shallow I do not
take my boat up it.  A number of fishermen who have jet boats or smaller boats
with a shallow draft
do go up it.  A kayak would work just as well.  I used to water ski in this
area all the time.  It
never gets very good vis. and as I said before this is probably the worst time
to dive the area.
