Other than the non-focusability, which was brought up
by Trey, what other problem is there with the Dive
Rite HID? I was considering getting a Wreck 1. Dove
with someone who was using one once and it seemed
great. 

When weighing the pros and cons of the light, I would
think that the longer battery life, brighter light,
whiter light, and lower power comsumption would make a
good compromise with a slightly more negative canister
and non-focusable beam.

Probably the type of light you use depends on the
diving. I don't have too many caves here, but many
wrecks and deep sites.
