Not DIR, more like 75% Hogarth and climbing, but here is my experience. If you run the hose for the backup under the arm it makes it much more difficult to get the backup in your mouth. It seems to have to do with the angle its coming from. Think of it like this. The first stage is above your armpit (about even with the mid/top of your shoulder. You then bend the hose down to go under your arm, then back up to your mouth. This puts a lot of tension and pull on the hose which in turn make it more difficult to position in your mouth. Initially it does sound/look more streamlined, but in the end does not work as well as it would initially seem.
