Sorry, one more point about the Aloha-based solution to the crosstalk problem outlined in the previous note. To detect collisions, either (1) the effective range of the receiver that's coupled with the transmitter must be greater than the range of the transmitter, or (2) the wrist unit must detect collisions (the best place for the detection hardware, actually), and must communicate problems to the transmitter. More properly, the wrist unit must positively acknowledge successful transmissions. -- Phil
