I have recently just purchased an EE pro 4 10 watt HID light and would
highly recommend it. My dive buddy has a pro 6 with Halogen and the
difference underwater are significant, both in duration and in
brightness / light color. The HID lights are rather expensive but my
pro 4 has a verified (by me and EE) burn time of 5 hours (302 minutes
verified) My dive buddies 50 watt halogen lasts 60-80 minutes at best.

Before the EE light I had a AUL spectrum 14 with 50 watt light head. I
will never go back. The pro 4 is very small, long lasting, and very
importantly the light head is focusable. This is very helpful when
looking into crevasses, etc. Just last week we saw an octopus which I
would have missed if I could not focus the beam. To my understanding
the Dive Rite 10 watt HID light head is NOT focusable.

Best of luck with your choice and remember, you get what you pay for.
EE is expensive but it is the Mercedes of dive lights IMHO.

Stefan.
