Hi Michael, At 10:17 23/03/2001 -0500, you wrote: >There was a recent thread about thigh pockets with zippers or velcro >flaps but I didn't remember this being mentioned. >What is the best method for attachment when diving wet? (other than >gluing or sewing the thing on). Not really sure what you mean. The last time I ordered in a wetsuit I ordered it with a pocket (they stuffed up first time round and put the pocket on the front of the leg for some stupid reason, but got it right second time round (I sent the suit back with where I wanted the pocket drawn on in chalk, in future I'll just send a picture)). I think the pocket was stitched AND glued? You may be able to retrofit pockets by sending back to the manufacturer (or someone who can stitch neoprene). Dive Rite make a pocket (I own one) which clips onto the upper thigh (I added velcro to mine to keep in place). IMO it's better to get a pocket fitted when you order your suit (the add on pockets are another thing to mess with when your gearing up and they can catch on stuff when your getting on and off the boat). The wetsuit on my site had a pocket fitted (only recent change is a bungie loop on the inside to attach stuff to)... http://www.scu.edu.au/schools/rsm/staff/pages/shartley/projects/gear/ Cheers, Simon Simon L Hartley RSM Website Coordinator\First Year Course Coordinator Associate Lecturer School of Resource Science and Management Southern Cross University P.O.
