All deco bottles are carried on each diver. << Should a backup set of deco tanks be left on board and fetched by the support divers >> Each team is responsible for making sure the support divers have appropriate backup tanks on both the main boat and any chase boats. << Does a support diver have any responsibilities other than monitor the dive plan, watch gas switching, and communicate with surface? >> Yes, help dekit gas divers of scooters and spent deco bottles during their stops. Also drift with gas divers who get pulled off the line, etc. << Is it a good idea to have underwater communication device between support diver and surface? >> Since we're not filming a Hollywood movie underwater, we have not found them to be useful. << Is a full face availability on 6m a must on realy deep dives? >> Necessary? No it is not. << In case the team is unintentionally drifting is there usually a support diver on chase boat that will quickly qear up and jump into the water to assist? >> At least one support divers is ready to assist the minute a team hits the water.
