The Uwatec only reads to 328 ft, I have had several well beyond that depth, the timer keeps working and the depth reads correct once you return above 328ft. When you first turn it on it will scroll down from 999ft. Many on this list claim it does not read below 328ft because of the chip inside, but I have killed 3 of the things and none of them died from battery failure. In all 3 cases, oil or something started leaking out of them. None of them had more than 100 dives on them. I'm not worried about the battery, but can they build one that can survive the dives I do.
