DIR as well?

George was 100% right in that the dive plan and the dive
preparation and the dive equipment were all bullshit -
three OC divers at 105 metres with independent doubles?
two with deco gas strapped to the back as well? None of
them with adequate gas at their TAP?

The guy with the breather appeared to have a problem
with it, breathed down his cylinders open circuit, and
failed to abort like he was (supposedly)trained to by
IANTD. And in staying on the dive, he turned the bail-out
plan into a poison pill. And it almost got two of them.

Tell me Michael, since you're an expert here, what part of
this is DIR? The misplanning? The mismanagement of the
dive? The faulty bail-out plan? The ignoring of his IANTD
rebreather training? The bad equipment selection? The
shocking equipment rigging? The helmet lights? The wetsuit?
The deco gas on the back? The double bladder BCs? The 35
metre separation of the team? Hello Mike? Are you keeping up
here?

Mike, this is as far from DIR as you can get. No self-
respecting DIR diver would have been in the water with these
guys that day. Rule No.1. Christ! Independent doubles to
105 metres!

George was 100% right too in that the rebreather diver was NOT
WKPP trained. And he was right in that Dennis planned to return
to Florida for training. In fact, the only place you may be able to
legitimately call him is where he referred to the deceased
buying the rebreather second hand instead of new. Which doesn't
exactly change anything.

>You don't seems to be closely affiliated with WKPP, and as
>such I can understand you at first will think George is a diving God, scores
have done before you....but if you are as smart as you claim, you will see
through it all in time.

Mike, if you're as bright as you would like others to believe,
you would read the report of the accident and see immediately
the same heavy hand of misplanning, mismanagement, and leave-it-
to-chance diving, the same macho bullshit and ignoring-of-the
rules-by-supposedly-competent-instructors, the same taking-the-
divers-beyond-their-capabilities, that killed a bunch of TDI
technical instructors (and I use the term losely) and a bunch
of IANTD students, a couple of years ago.

And the sorriest part of this tragedy is that all you guys can
do is take a classic, blueprint TDI/IANTD SA clusterfuck and,
via the Big Lie theory, blame it on DIR. With Tom prodding along
slyly in the background. (Not in YOUR briar patch, eh Tom?)

Now, while you're in your 'calling bullshit' mood, Mike, what
about Tom's devious bullshit about George's 'fall' and Scott's
reaction - as refuted by Scott himself.

What's your take on that one Mickey? You seem to be pretty
swift with the bullshit flag. How come you let Tom drop that
big steamer on the rebreather list carpet without comment?
