I just had a friend from Italy and one from Germany over at the house today, and they said that they were concerned about some of the chrome jobs since USD took over, and I think flaking chrome was the subject of that recall of a batch that was flaking chrome into the first stage seat, but obviously they got that one figured out. As I said, I took no chances and have bought up as many of the old ones as possible. I was putting some together today as stage regs when my friends came over, and that is how the conversation got started. I showed them my one spare set of seats and parts, new in the bag for years, untouched, unneeded. Just variations on the same parts, the turret models for deco/stage, and the non-turret model's for back-gas. If the water is less then 10C then use the sealed versions. The parts are all inner-changeable between all the regulators (first and second stages) regardless. These regulators are like Bulldogs. > I had a nightmare that the Apeks line would start to change as a result of the merger with Aqualung Corp.
