The substance is desmopressin acetate, in sweden it goes by the name of Minirin (mfg: Ferring). The stuff comes in several preparations, I've tried the nasal spray. The "real" use is for testing the renal function, bed wetting and diabetes insipidus. I have no idea as to how regular use will affect you. In no way do I recommend anybody to try this, I'm just saying that I've tried it a few times with no ill effects. It's expensive, 5 ml is USD 50 and will be enough for, say, 10 dives (my guess). It's also a prescription drug. Anybody else out there tried this? /RS (o o) +------------------------------oOO--(_)--OOo-----------------------------+ | Richard Soderberg, MD | The Karolinska Institute | | Systems analyst | MIC-KIBIC | | Voice#: +46 8 728 80 00 | Library and | | Fax# : +46 8 33 04 81 | Medical Information Center | | Snail : PO Box 200 | Doktorsringen 21 C, | | S-177 77 Stockholm | S-104 01 Stockholm | | Email :richard.soderberg@mi*.ki*.se* | SWEDEN | +------------------------------------+-----------------------------------+
