Hi all-

A friend and I are kicking around an idea for building a homemade ROV, and
we are looking for any sources of info that would prevent us from making
mistakes that others have encountered and previously solved. If anyone on
the list knows of any books, websites, etc. that cover topics like
watertight electrical fittings, o-ring seal construction, mechanical
passthroughs (i.e. the knobs and buttons found on many underwater cameras),
or motor housings, I'd love to hear about it. I've seen more than a few
homemade battery canisters made and used, so it seems that the technology
must be out there - I just can't find it.
