John, ( I am replying here because I lost your mail) They said there was a chance of water entering via a too soft exhale diaphragm, and latter should be replaced with a slightly stiffer one. I had the problem, did the exchange, to no avail. Real problem was, whenever swimming left side up, water seeped in by the edge of the ventury adjustment knob. There was a sharp edge from the pressuremoulding process left over. I smoothed it with a sharp knife and honed it down, this worked, together with a new O-ring. Btw, Apeks say you should do the replacement because of warranty.
