I have heard you can use welding grade as long as the purity is good, I use Aviator's Oxygen in my mix as well as in my airplane. It's only slightly more expensive than welding, at least from my supplier. >and also what grade of helium should I buy? Any help would be greatful. I use Ultra High Purity (UHP). It's normally used in gas chromatography; I figure anything good enough for a chromatograph to breathe is good enough for me. Also, my supplier's price for the lesser grades is only a few dollars per cylinder, so UHP makes the most sense for me.
