Hi, I'm a new subscriber, introducing myself: I've been reading the list for about a year. I live in New England and dive wrecks in the 170' to 240' range (Trimix); I also dive caves and love getting down to Florida. Thanks to many of you, inc. JJ, for his persuasive GUE article on Hogarthian principles; Todd Leonard, for his excellent website on "how to" gear Hogarthian; Scott Hunsucker, for valuable O2 information & physiology; Cobber, for insight into better ways of using helium! And George (of course), whose myriad ideas have helped me evolve into a better, safer diver (still ongoing!). Just 2 examples: proper hip-mounting of a small (6 ft3) argon cylinder (ideal for cold-water wrecks!), and correct marking/deployment of deco bottles (also, why they should be aluminum, not steel... boy, that's more comfortable!) with 40" hoses so the reg wraps easily behind your head. Thanks to all, I look forward to learning more! Nelson Perry -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
