Hello:
I would like to make a BIG request for help of the techdiver list members.
I am doing an magazine article for Aqua-Corps on networking for technical
divers. The main thrust of the article is going to concern the Internet
and the lists and usenet groups of interest to divers as well as other
available resources. This article is being written by me and is subject
to acceptance by Aqua-Corps, but Mike Menduno and I have discussed
the article and he is expecting it's submission.
What I would like to do is profile the Techdiver readership in the article
to indicate the level of expertise available on Internet.
I am also talking to several other magazines, so I am requesting a
broader range of questions than would be justified just for the Aqua-Corps
article.
For you NSS folks out there, you may remember when a project was conducted
on cave divers. Although this isn't a scientific study, I do think it may
prove useful within this limited sample. If this survey is successful,
I may suggest doing a broader survey of the Aqua-Corps readership. I
think that might prove very useful if for no other reason than clearing
up some misconceptions which I suspect exists about technical divers.
I know that it is impossible to collect the responses without the respondent
giving away their identity, I will hereby swear and affirm that I will
be removing all headers from the returned survey and that I will not
reveal any information except as catagory totals.
Once the survey is completed, I will distribute the results here.
