Hi Chris, A number of my friends and I have been diving the caves at Akumal, Mexico with Sartek HID lights for almost a year now. The lights are terrific. The best comment on the lights came from my dive buddy who was assisting me with a cave class. On a training dive he was in front, then two students and I was in the rear. His comment was "I might as well have turned off my light because yours was so bright even from the end of the line". On the other hand, I personally do not like the wet mate connectors used with the light heads. Although they are really convenient, in my experience they are not overly reliable. A continuous cable like we used to use with the halogen light heads, seems to be much less prone to failure. I hope this helps but remember that any advice you receive from me may be worth exactly what you paid for it.
