I am very glad that many don't, esp. those affiliated with TDI and IANDT. I have a feeling that even if an agency has requirements for deep air and other silly bullshit, the smart instructor will ignore it and do it right. Less lawsuits that way. Sounds like they aren't getting the proper training to start with. Like I wrote in my post I do not discount proper training. Around here beginning divers regularly do their training dives in 90+ ft of cold, murky water, a prime environment for narcosis induced clusterfucks. On any given weekend you can see these new divers doing panic-stricken free ascents popping up like mushrooms all around the dive boat. Agreed. A perfect reason that new divers shouldn't be that deep. Over 50% of bent/embolised divers are diving with-in the table limits proving(to me anyway) that they don't have the skills to control buoyancy . Dive safe. bob --MS_Mac_OE_3053753500_202667_MIME_Part Content-type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>Re: clarification was: An the beat goes on and on</TITLE= > </HEAD> <BODY> What makes you think that all instructors adhere to agency guidelines?
