The only thing you need a filter for is the "information" that you received
from the scuba industry with regard to helium - it is called a Bullshit
Filter.

The really , really stupid dive instructors will tell you to "get off of the
helium as fast as you can". That is how you know you are dealing with a sub
human intellect.

The answer is "no", you do not need a "filter".
