Okay Matthias, So your friends use deco80 and Poseidon's. Fine, now get with the program or at least spare us your crap. I am sick of hearing how things are done according to you in Germany by the "top cave divers, etc.". The disadvantages are explained and you do not seem to understand any of it. I am quite sure that the real aces in Germany are on track with DIR methods, as this is the only way they could be true aces in the first place...<G> Take care, THOMAS > -----Original Message----- > From: Matthias Voss [mailto:mat.voss@t-*.de*] > Sent: Thursday, August 31, 2000 9:57 AM > To: techdiver@aquanaut.com > Cc: Tech Diver > Subject: Re: Poseidon regulators > > > Cyklon 16 years now > Spares needed : One diaprhagm , one pushrod assy.,second stage > one diaphragm , to O rings, first stage. > Odin 3 yrs, no spares till now, gotta know how to adjust it. > overall failures ( ca. 900 dives with these) :none. > > German Navy prefers the cyklon to the odin, because of its better valve > seat, they use it in a amagnetic titanium version now. > > The Odin has 4 times the delivery capacity than the Apex tx 50/ 100.
