Okay, here's my dumb questions for today (all unrelated):
1) I chose not to get the E/O connecter on my EE HID light because of
reported unreliability of the connection (it gets weaker and weaker and you
have to hit it with a hammer to make the connector seat again). Since any
interruption kills the HID arc for a good 30 seconds, this isn't good. The
question: has anyone thought about using the screw-together type connector
covers for this application (like they do on the Light & Motion video
lights)?
2) Anyone know anything about fuel cells? Could you make a scooter powered
by a fuel cell?
3) Was interested to hear about Trey's latest motor rewinding for optimum
Gavin performance. Someday I'll have budget for a Gavin and be glad to buy
it. I've heard about electric motor rewinding before, especially in R/C
cars for increased performance. Anyone care to explain how this works to
me? I am more mechanical than EE type, but give it a shot. Also, any
benefit to a different wind on a Mako or Dacor motor?
Thanks.
