So you're saying he had a lot on experience with building his own rebreathers and utilizing mixed gas and this was just foolhardy on his part or a big mistake. Just because someone experiments with something that others have done, doesn't make it known to them. Or maybe you think the evolution of rebreathers has reached its apex and will now start to decline in favor of a newer technology...... On this planet, we theorize and layout potentials until doing it on a board is no longer useful. We then proceed to put the theories into practice by building that which we have theorized to see if will actually work the way we think it will.
