Trey, you accused me of having the sole intention of insulting you and your
little cave project, when in reality, I have only insulted you, in response
to your personal attacks on me, and you take every chance you can get to
insult me, I am posting what you said to me in private, because you didn't
have the balls to say it in public.

Back to the topic at hand.

Your buddy runs out of air, maybe he is an idiot, or maybe something
unforeseen happened he panics swims to you as fast as he can, and as hard as
he can yanks your primary out of your mouth.

Yes, it might be unlikely that someone would let them selves run out of air,
but it has happened. It is not unlikely that a second stage can break if a
panicked diver yanks it away from you.

now lets say it happens. I have been told DIR proper thing to do is switch
out regs. OK lets use logic here.

Buddy runs out of air, so with no air he panics swims to you as fast as he
can, grabs your reg it breaks, is he gonna wait calmly while you switch out
the regs? We all know the answer to that one.
so what are we left with? Buddy breathing.

So now he runs out of air panics swims to you as fast as he can holding his
breath, yanks your primary, it breaks, what does he do next. I would think he
would grab for your back up, yanking it and you to him. at this point you
stay calm and jerk yourself and your reg away from him, and luckily it didn't
break, you take it over your head get a good breath and hand it off. By now
he is probably passed out, and most likely dead.

Now you say you must permanently attach the bungee to your back up, because
if you don't you will have to find it. That's not true. You can loop the
bungee, so it will stay in current, or any other circumstance, but when
someone pulls on it, it will come out of the bungee. Now you can buddy
breath, he has air and is calmed down a bit, and you can change out the regs.

so lets recap the past 24 hours.

I send an email agreeing with you on the compass, I agreed with dir on bottle
markings, I asked a question about the back up, and gave an example that's
more likely to happen then your backup coming out of the loop, and falling
into the scooter. What did you do? You attacked me, so i asked you to show
stats and you attack me again, I invite you here to dive my environment and
you attack me again, so I ask for stats again, and you say all I am doing is
attacking you wkpp and dir. and you attack me again, I respond by saying i
wasn't trying to insult you, i was just questioning something, so you send a
private email threatening me. Probably not a smart thing, you know I am a
PSD, and most people know most psd are either cops or fire fighters. I'm not
gonna tell you who you just threatened, I'll let you wonder if you just broke
the law by threatening a civilian, or by threatening a cop. By the way, your
still welcome to come dive the sewage system for that shiny new quarter.

Thank You
Jason Miller
