Subject: RE: Lift bags
Hi,

The problem with a spool is that it just doesn't hold enough line to =20
launch it from the bottom, especially in a strong tide=2E They are OK for =20=
=20
midwater use though=2E It is better to carry two good primaries, doesn't =20
cause any more clutter than one + spool=2E I launched a bag from 50m on a =20=
=20
100m reel and it just made it=2E

There is still the same risk with exhaust bubbles=2E Jetstream/Odins were =20=
=20
terrible for it because the shape made it easy to put the exhaust port in =20=
=20
the bag whilst breathing from it=2E It's very tempting to do and I saw =20
divers twice get caught=2E You need to be equally careful with exhaust =20
bubbles when you have the line and bag so close to your face=2E Lost masks=20=
 =20
are common too=2E

Cheers,

Stuart
