Gang,

This years PNW SCUBA festival will be held in the town of Hoodsport on the
dates of 16 and 17 September.

Last year, we had a great show, and raised a little money for charity. This
year, its going to be a two day event, with lots of contests and prizes to
be won and given away.

I just got the news yesterday that George Irvine, project leader for the
WKPP (www.wkpp.org)  and Jarrod Jablonski, President of GUE (www.gue.com)
will be joining the festival, with a display and a couple of presentations
on the record setting dives they are doing in the caves of the Woodville
Karst Plain, and a presentation on the GUE dive to the Britannic
(http://www.gue.com/research/britannic/index.shtml).
These are the guys who define DIR, and set the standard for technical diving
worldwide.

Last year we had some gents from the US Navy SEALS show up with their
LARV's, and Scammahorn with his MK15's and 16's. The Marines brought a big
inflatable Drill Instructor (the babes were wowed by him and the guns on
SSGT Poff). This year we hope to get a recon team to join us (no word yet).
The Historical Diving Society (http://www.thehds.com/) will also have a cool
display. We are hoping to have a US Navy EOD unit display the tools of their
trade as well. Many local and National merchants will be displaying their
wares, and opportunity to dive some of the gear will be available.

This is an outstanding opportunity to meet, greet, dive, learn and share
what we love most about our sport.
Put some names to faces, meet some of the major players in SCUBA diving
today.
