FYI, I'm not yet DIR, but my rig is close to DIR and I aspire to be
someday soon.

Klutz! watch where you step?  

You don't like the long hose, eh?  Sharing
air is much tougher with a short hose.

You truly are incompetent.  What's so tough about operating a bolt-snap?
I do it all the time in cold water with thick-ass gloves.

Maybe you should have used larger bolt-snaps, or simply taken PADI's
bolt-snap specialty course.

I don't dive a Halcyon backplate, so no comment.  An excessive wobble
would such, though.  I do think that the backplate is more suited to
diving doubles.

A little excercise should get rid of that excessive gut that's blocking
your view.  I'm not in great shape, but I have NO problem reading it.
