Hello folks,

I've been lurking around here watching and seem quite intrigued over the =
conversations. I've been diving for about seven years now
and have been interested in technical diving and more recently the DIR =
philosophy. I'm not real please with some of the comments
made by a few DIR's vs Non-DIR's.. but to each his own I guess...

I recently purchased the Halcyon wing/backplate setup and find that it =
is indeed very comfortable. I have found that the strap is
relatively short. While reading through some posts, I've found that some =
individuals have a good foor left over. I'm sure that the=20
suit has a great deal to do with it...I'm 5'11 and about 217 and with my =
400g undergarments and Clx450 drysuit, I find that the=20
shoulder openings need to be pretty small in order to leave sufficient =
length to secure the strap. Granted, "things settle with age" but is
everybody else facing this also. Trying to donn this setup is near next =
to impossible with much help from your buddy...I sometimes=20
feel like falling back on my Dacor RIG...

Whatta ya think folks,

Doug
